⚠️ REQUIREMENTS FIRST — crIAture runs a real AI model locally. 

You need: Windows 10/11 64-bit · NVIDIA recommended or AMD GPU with 8 GB VRAM · ~7 GB disk space. On first launch the game downloads its "brain" (≈5 GB) — let it finish. No account needed, works fully offline afterwards (but cloud capable with an Ollama account).

About — crIAture is a mini social game about raising a creature that truly thinks for itself. Its brain is a real language model running entirely on your machine: it decides what to do, what to say, what to remember — we don't script it, we raise it. Feed it, talk to it, play mini-games with it, watch it grow from an egg to an adult with a personality shaped by how you treat it. Around it, a small pixel village lives its own life:shopkeepers, regulars at the bar, gossip, grudges, friendships — every character runs on the same brain, and they remember.

⚠️ Windows SmartScreen note — the game isn't code-signed yet (certificates are expensive for a solo dev). Windows will show a blue warning: click "More info" → "Run anyway". The download is exactly what this page ships, nothing more.

🛡️ Smart App Control (new Windows 11 PCs) — if Windows says the app "was blocked" with no "Run anyway" button, your PC runs Smart App Control, which refuses any unsigned program. To play: Windows Security → App & browser control → Smart App Control settings → Off. Windows warns this can't be turned back on without reinstalling — that's their design, not ours. Alternatively, install through the itch app, which removes the SmartScreen warning (but not a Smart App Control block).

AI disclosure — the creature and villagers are driven by a locally-running language model; the game's art was created with generative tools, hand-curated. Nothing you do ever leaves your computer.
